This blanket makes me HAPPY! It is squishy and soft, but with this stitch pattern makes little breathable holes for a weather-versatile blankie!
And if you want to go to town with the colors--
go for it! You can even mix up the stripe width if you choose! I like providing options with my designs that let people use their creativity--and the yarn they have in their stash! (Saves money, right?!)
I made this baby-sized sample blanket with cotton, cotton blends and even a wool blend from my stash! But I wrote the pattern so you can make it any size you wish! I also designed it with only a border on the top and bottom edges because this stitch pattern makes really nifty sides that don't look wonky and don't "ask" for a border, anyway!
And did I mention that this baby has a terrific accordion-like stretch!? It is magical, I tell ya! Plus, the front and back look equally fab!
Thanks to my testers for doing such a wonderful job! This is what they said about the pattern...
"It is a lovely pattern, works up very quickly, and has a terrific texture."
"Love, love, LOVE this! The texture! The movement of the stitches! The border! Squeeeeeee! Fabulous!"
You can find the pattern in my shops:
And may I just take a minute to give you a virtual squeeze and tell you how much I appreciate you! This week I celebrated the 2 year anniversary of Felted Button.
