I'm having a ball with this new pattern--oh, the visions I have of what could be done with the colors.
I'm going to try a few of these beauties in some pale, soft pastels--all cotton. That would make a lovely baby blankie!
This idea is "rolling" along! I'm still working on the best way to join these little spirals--I have tried about 7 different methods so far, all okay, but nothing "singing to me" yet. Can you imagine the wonderful things that could be done with different colorways and this little swirly motif!? My mind is, in fact, swirling! And names--how about Roll With it Baby Blanket?
Hugs to all!
{QUESTION}--What's on your hook right now? Who's sewing for the holidays?
LOVING both of these! You have such a talent. Can't wait to see them (and of course you) at Happy Hookers Club this week!

I can't wait to see, but I suppose that might be risky to post on your blog if it ruins a surprise!
DeleteI am newish to crochet & I have been inspired by your work. The colours you put together are beautiful (an art form in itself). I have just finished a basket & I am slowly working my way through a granny square blanket.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your beautiful work.
Thank you, Becca. I once had a friend call me a yarntist. I don't know about that, but I do find joy in creating! Good luck on your granny. I love anything granny!

I love this! Beautiful colors. I just started crocheting again and am busy collecting, collecting and collecting. As in collecting patterns and pictures. Collecting yarn and hooks. Collecting books and magazines! I realize this is from 2012 but I am hoping you can maybe forward a pattern or direct me to where I can take a look at it and decide if I am advanced enough to take it on yet. Love the blog!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I totally understand the COLLECTING all things crochet!! It's such an addicting art!
DeleteYou can find these patterns all finished up. The first one is called the "Star Fruit" and can be found for purchase here...http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/home-decor/star-fruit-blanket--rug-/56068. The swirly one is called "Let's Twirl" and can be found here...http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/home-decor/lets-twirl-baby-blanket--rug/44063
I think they are both pretty terrific and I include lots of pictures to help you through. They are both join-as-you-go patterns which is pretty nifty, as well. There are lots of additional instructions to help included in the patterns for that, too! I think that any ambitious beginner could successfully make it through. If you decide to give it a try, I would love to see the result! You can always share your pictures on my Facebook page at http://facebook.com/feltedbutton.com! Best to you!
