taking an idea that started out inside my head, transformed a bazillion times and resulted in something tangible is very incredible to me. Very incredible indeed!
So here it is! I'm calling this the...
It is a puffy, patchy, polka-dotty quilt that makes me want to snuggle up under. Perfect for a baby. Perfect for a toddler. Perfect as a play mat. Perfect in a crib. Perfect for working up in your own colors. (Can you imagine it done in all white with only little colored dots?) Or even in "adult" colors and large enough as a bedspread?
Did I mention that it is super puffy and squishy? Oh, yes. I did. But I LOVE that part about it! So how did I make it so extra puffy? By making it similarly to how you actually make a quilt.
And so I added ties, just the tied quilts I used to make when I was younger. It's super fun the way the colors play with each other from front to back, too.
I had this visual of the border in my head but wasn't sure if I could pull it off. I am quite pleased with the end result, if I do say so myself. I hope you like it, too. (Isn't it pretty with the light shining through like this?)

And I would love a shout out to any of your other hooky friends--you know, a pin or two on Pinterest, a share on Facebook, Twitter or your blog, if you have one. I sincerely appreciate your support.
Thanks so much, my friends. Be well. I'll stop in again very soon!

Beautiful! Also your photography is brilliant - maybe you could do a blog post about that some day - thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind, Joyce! I feel very amateurish. I don't know that I would have many suggestions for how to photograph--but I do have a room with great light and some clean and simple spaces without clutter. My older Canon Rebel SLR seems to be pretty effective. I assure you, nothing fancy and no training!
