Remember this little chair that I thrifted?
A coat of turquoise paint and a little bit of cotton with my hook...
Now I have a perfect little chair for...??? Well, maybe my monkey. Or a little dish, or just to look terrifically cute. I haven't found its "spot" in my home yet, but I will. It suits me.
I have also been working on a footstool cover for my bedroom. I started with Tamara's Magic Spike Mandala pattern from Moogly here. I changed colors every round, however, cause that's how I roll. And I skipped the final two rounds and took off on my own--after the yellow, that is. I'm pretty pleased with how it is turning out. Color, texture and circular repeats are good. Very good.
The squares are going to be for the sides. I'm not certain how they will be arranged yet, but most likely a haphazard color scheme. I made them with the first three rounds of the Magic Spike Mandala pattern--with my own color changes, of course--and then added a fourth round that squared it out.
I'll do a big ta-dah hopefully very soon!

Pooh: You don't spell it. You feel it.
I am a big follower of mandalas in all artistic forms. I Google +'d this.

i love this pattern! beautiful! whee can I get the patern for the squares?
ReplyDeleteJodee, I don't have the pattern for the squares written. I used the first several rounds of Moogly's Magic Spike Mandala pattern (link in the above post) and then added a round to square it off.
DeleteWhat a wonderful way to create a mandala - even if it's not for a stool!
