I Heart Boot Cuffs
This is what started it all...
I got these wonderful red boots from my daughter for Christmas. She pretty much "gets" me.
And who doesn't need red boots, right?
I had ogled her black ones for over a year...
Now I think I need them in gray, too!
But let's not get distracted. I really do love boot cuffs! Especially to add that little pop of color and coziness to a winter outfit.
And I think the little hearts add a sweet touch.
Plus, the hearts can be worn in the back or on the sides.
I made these in I Love This Cotton by Hobby Lobby in Monkey Red. It's pretty stretchy, but I love the twist in the yarn. I think these would be pretty terrific in almost any worsted weight yarn, though. And any color of heart, too! In fact, I plan on making several more pair!
Here's the pattern for you...
I hope you enjoy the pattern. It has not been tested, so if you find anything amiss, please message me on Facebook here. And if you love it, please feel free to share it--and pictures of your cuffs, too!
You can find a tidy ad-free, print-friendly PDF for instant download in my Etsy shop here.
In my next blog post I'll share a bit about my friend Cathy and how she, like my daughter, "gets" me so well.

Great pattern! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou are so very welcome! I hope you enjoy it!
DeleteThank you so much for sharing this. I'm in the process of making them right now! So far, so good :)
ReplyDeleteI am working on them right now in cotton and want to try them in acrylic too....like how they are working up . Can a flat stitch like sc be used as a part that goes in the boot? was wondering if that would make it not so think for tight boots? Just curious if it is possible? I love these and the heart is adorable...thank you
ReplyDeletePenny, a sc and dc are essentially the same thickness. I suggest using a thinner weight yarn, like sock or DK for less bulk and then adding a few rows to make them fit. Let me know how this works for you.
DeleteOMG totally awesome boot cuffs. Thanks so much for sharing. Linking up with Hookin on Hump Day. Happy New Year!
