Ta-Dah!! It's available! And I am loving it. Oh, the things that I could do with the colors--I see aquas, yellows, greens, and even rainbows!
Can I tell you how cozy and warm this is?! But a very simple pattern--the kind you can work up while watching television! So what am I naming this new design?
I was actually inspired by these cakes--well, and a really awesome shower curtain from Anthropologie.
Isn't creativity so fabulously amazing--that we can take something like a cake and envision it as a blanket and then with busy little hands make a version of it? Maybe I should have called this my Cake Ruffle Blanket?!
By the way, do you know what OMBRÉ means--having colors or tones that shade into each other--used especially in fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark (French, of course).
You can find it in the usual places--Etsy and LoveCrafts.
{On the Board} -- Today there are hearts to gladden, kind words to say, deeds to be done, and souls to be saved.
So--I'm off to do some of that! Be well, All!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Ruffle Blanket! So nice to see something original :D
ReplyDeletethat is super cute. It looks really soft. :) lovely.
ReplyDeleteHow fast does it work up? I have a baby shower in a couple of days, and I totally want to make this for her. Wonder if I can get it done in time.
ReplyDeleteI'm not certain that a couple of days for this one is reasonable--unless you are ok to not get much sleep! ;) Although the stitch patterns are fairly repetitive and simple, it is essentially the same as working up three blankets--due to the ruffle. You might want to check my shop for something that uses less yarn! LOL! Best to you!
DeleteThank you! I decided to hold off on it. She really wanted this one. It will be ready before the baby is born, though :) This is just gorgeous!!

Deleteas I am pretty ruffled obsessed this is marvelous..well done sweet lady
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! what's the size?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Finished dimensions: 32 inches (81cm) wide x 36 inches (91cm) long. And just to note, adjusting the dimensions is not easy with this one--besides, it's about as heavy at this size as you would want, I think.
